My Journey

For a good while I’d been standing on the sidelines refusing to get involved with this whole Twitter/blog/networking thing – what a waste of time! Watching Ally get more and more into it and feeling somewhat skeptical about the value of the connections she’d been making. Then somehow we started a Twitter page together and it made sense for a moment or two – and then I didn’t know what to say – or couldn’t see the point - so she virtually carried it for the next few months.

So… how did I move from there to here?  Generally we agree about the ‘big’ issues – why we’re here (on the planet), what’s worth pursuing and what we’d rather avoid. We come to things at different times though – as with all this networking caper. But there are things I want to express – so far, usually through my music. So – with Ally’s gentle nudging, I dipped my toe into the Twitter-stream as True Blue Planet.

Still getting used to it. Still floundering at times (hey Ally what do I do here? How do I… ) What I am just starting to ‘get’ though, is the sense of this vast community that actually seems to CARE. About the planet, about beauty, about a different way of seeing things and incredibly… about each other. Really wishing for and wanting to give support to each other. This has been such a revelation that I want to be part of it, learn from it and give to it.
